Renée Barron is a lens-based artist who explores cultures and communities that are often overlooked. Heralding from the documentary film and television world, she was recognized with an Emmy for best single cam editing. Over her editorial career she’s developed a cinematic perception of visual and auditory storytelling that has deeply influenced her photographic sensibilities. Barron lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

As an artist, I am constantly on the lookout for those moments, those tiny vignettes that encapsulate the essence of what it means to be alive. I strive to capture not just a scene, but a feeling, a mood, a sensation transporting the viewer to that very moment, allowing them to experience it as if they were there themselves. With every click made on my camera, I aim to distill the complexity, and the sheer wonder of the world into a single, perfect moment that I immortalized as a fleeting moment of captured time.
